This trap works. I have a few of them and get a gopher every time I set them. I finally decide I’m not in the killing business so I quit using them. I have a couple mounds in my lawn this summer but so far I’m just mowing over them and it’s fine. If you don’t mind setting traps day after day this is the best trap ever. Requires some strength and agility to figure out how to set it first but not too bad.

This is my go-to trap. They’re not recommended for frail hands or noodle arm weaklings because if you don’t know what you’re doing or know where to put your hands when setting them, you’ll lose a thumbnail or break a finger.

Sorry, but it is not as easy as this, maybe my gophers are smarter, I don't know. I have been trying to use this trap for a week now, and so far no luck. In general the open hole is filled with dirt and they do not set off the trap. I have tried the angle method and the dig out the hole method, both times the gopher pushes the dirt up to the trigger and stops, no springing of the trap. The traps are set as sensitive as I can make them and it still makes no difference. I intend to keep trying, but don't be surprised when the gopher refuses to follow the play-book as outlined above.

I catch gophers when I have time at my job . It’s fun to set traps and collect my kills at the end of the day lol

I just found a huge gopher hole in my front yard, I saw it run into the hole it's huge, the gopher, and the hole.

Now there is the gopher hawk trap very effective was glad I found out bout it if I would had known about the hawk few years back would have saved many trees & shrubs.

I’m very frustrated so going to try your method. All the other videos tell me I have to find the tunnels to catch them. The say that putting the trap in the plug hole doesn’t work. Well I have tried to dig and find the tunnels around the mound without success. So I’ll follow your way and clean out the plug hole and put my cinch trap in it. Thanks .

Cut off the tail and take them into the dicth place and receive the bounty

That’s not a burrow, just the clean out ramp/hole. The actual burrow will be off the MAIN tunnel.

Started using cinch traps and I’m 1/2 in two days. The first one pushed dirt ahead of itself, so I covered the second hole with grass and bam, got it.

I been using these for 5 years. They worked good till this summer, lol the gophers got educated or i started doing something wrong. Now i am about ready to call in a f4 for a napalm drop.

The Cinch trap is the only trap out of the dozens of kinds of traps I've used that really works every time.

Thanks bro. Have some mounds in my backyard in Clermont Florida. My kids 6 and 8, thought I build them. I showed them your video and they were awed.

I ordered three, but I simply can't set them, it takes too much force to flip it over and I have weakened hands due to gout. Might have to return them.

I have a gopher in my yard for 2 months now. He dug a lot and pretty much claimed the land for himself but I don't mind, not living my life to make sure the yard is flat and perfectly smooth. Plus, the kids can educate themselves more by watching how a gopher survives in the wild. You are a terrible person for doing that to a creature that just lives his life. Shame

I've used this guy's method and that same trap.....NOT A DAMM THING in about 20 tries.....Then I bought the Green traps that look like a Mouse trap ....Same last hole.....And caught the Gopher in about 15 minutes and 6 more Gophers in 3 days......These are POCKET GOPHERS......🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I like this type of trap. Makes sense.

I find a tunnel run near a building or concrete structure or a field or garden, make an access into to tunnel and put a 1.5 inch re- inforced hose into it and seal it well. I then connect the hose to my rotavator exhaust pipe and run the motor for 5 minutes on choke the 5 minutes off choke (normal running) and thats it, if theres one or more families involved, they all kick the bucket together as a family package and extended families. Mass Mole extermination garranteed ! Of course the bigger the area or field the longer running time is required, but elimination is garranteed.

i finally got a gopher with the cinch trap and using your method, but now do i reset the trap and place it back on the same hole?

I got more out of these traps that any other traps. I got 5 of them. I got 8 different types of traps.. This is my main trap.

spent all kinds of money for years trying to fight gophers. someone recommended cinch 6 weeks ago. I ordered 4, got 2 giant gophers in 1 hour, and went on to getting a bunch more in 1 weeks time. Have had nothing going on for 1 month. Property is gopher free. Cinch is a brilliant invention...lowes and home depot traps are garbage. Dont wast your money. Buy once and buy right.

I HAVE CLEARED TWO VERY LARGE GARDENS WITH DOZENS OF MOLE HILLS IN THE LAWNS. HUMAN URINE POURED INTO THE HOLES ONCE YOU HAVE CLEARED AWAY THE SOIL FROM THE MOLE HILLS. A LITTLE SOUR MILK WAS ADDED AS I USE LARGE PLASTIC MILK BOTTLES TO HOLD THE URINE, SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO TREAT A HOLE TWICE, BUT IT WORKS WITH NO HARM DONE TO THE MOLES, THE GRASS OR ANY OTHER CREATURE ------ AND ------ IT'S FREE!!!!!!

As a kid we used leg traps for pocket gophers. No problem. Must have made 30 sets for moles with the cinch trap. Not 1 mole trapped. They push dirt all around the set. What the hell am I doing wrong???

I have bought about 10 of these when they work they work fairly well the problem is all of them have broken the spring mechanism is crap and they have all broken I can't aford to keep replacing them so I plan to try some different types.

For me only works on an active open hole. For filled holes I dig out like shown above the gopher will dig around the trap and fill the hole from the outside!

Are you using the Small 1.5 inch cinch or the Medium 2.25 inch cinch trap?

These Cinch traps are well designed. You can actually adjust the trigger "sear" engagement, from a very small movement to nearly a full half inch. They are extremely powerful too. I bought the 2 pack.

I just use the "mole chasers" - battery operated electronic devices buried in the yard and the gophers disappear without having to kill them.

ok so i set these traps in and no matter how deep i go the gopher only fills the hole to the trigger but does not push the dirt into it!!! lol smart lil punk huh??? what should i do??? im thinking of adding an extension to the trigger so it sticks out further and goes off when he pushed dirt into it?
